You’re on a long flight, and a palm reader sitting next to you insists she reads your palm. You hesitate, but agree. What does she tell you?

This palm reader became my closest friend. Although we did not sit next to each other on a plane, we sat next to each other on a bus some 16 years ago. There were quite a few empty seats but by fate, I chose to sit next to her. I had no idea how she ended up reading my palm but all I knew was after that her life and my life appeared to be almost similar. We were ex-colleagues and met during a company orientation trip. We left the company same day, we both had failed relationships twice at almost the same time. When she read my palm, she was probably just telling me about her own life.
From palm reading to friendship, we held on to each other’s hands and even though we live across the miles, we are there for each other time and again.
