The Road Taken

I was back home again !

A much awaited yearly trip to visit my elderly aunt who is like a mother to me.

After two weeks quality time spent in Kuching where I was born, my Auckland home looks more ‘Peranakan‘ than before.

The road taken – from Kuching (Malaysia) to Auckland (New Zealand) came my grandma’s betel nut set and her Nyonya beaded slippers.

  1. Hope you enjoyed your trip, Jess. It sounded like you did and hope you got to eat the food you love and most importantly, to spend time with those that matter to you. Lovely that you managed to bring back some of Kuching with you. Memories from the past can be very sweet and they can be what makes us smile each day 🙂
