Here we come street eating in the heart of the city

We started our day yesterday on the ferry from half moon bay to Queens Wharf going into the city for the annual popular street food event with a diverse line up of central city restaurants serving up their favourite street food.

Sample eats from around the globe, from Middle Eastern shawarma to Asian summer rolls, Tuscan donuts and much more. A small plate cost $8 to $10. We each sampled two plates and a glass of wine. Was a great day out. We went round to the Viaduct and ended up joining a group party with the Rugby fans. That was a bonus round !

  1. I went with a big appetite but in the end ate a bit less than what I wanted to try. It’s hard when everything sounds so delicious. Some hard decisions had to be made. If only Street Eats was for 2 days, I could tick off so many more dishes.

  2. It looks great! We were last sunday at aso called restaurant day in Helsinki. In this event both real restaurants and normal people offer food on the streets. Needless to say there was food from around the globe and I hope to write about it soonish 🙂
