I Can’t Stay Mad at You.
Do you hold grudges or do you believe in forgive and forget?
I can’t stay angry for too long. I have never ever stopped talking to anyone even when someone may disappoint me, sometimes time and again. I may get annoyed or hurt for that moment and then almost always, I will be the first one to start talking to that person again.
I guess either I may have a short memory, forgotten that person had done things that disappointed me or I am a firm believer in living in the present. What that person did to me was the past and in life, we can only move forward, not backwards with each tomorrow.
That’s my nature and thank God for it. I take things easy, live in the present and taking one day at a time so I do not often think of the unpleasant past and I see each day as a new beginning.
I learned that to actually forgive, you first have to forget. If you are forced to make peace and forgive but cannot forget, you will never be at peace with yourself. When you let go of the rough times or the hurt, you will be opened to receive bountiful blessings and move forward in creating a loving world.
I don’t think we should forget…for me, remembering the bad times reminds me that there are good times too and there is always something to learn from bad times.
“…we can only move forward, not backwards with each tomorrow.” What a great quote from you. Once again, love the photo-quote too. Such meaningful words that inspire happier days. For me, when someone upsets me, I only get upset in the moment too. Another moment always awaits us after that. Sorry if I’m rambling, it’s late and I’m tired from work. Have a good day/night, Jess 🙂
Always nice to read your comments… no worries about rambling with me. 🙂 It’s also very late (or early) here for me too Mabel. Goodnite, Sweetie. 🙂

I agree with you holding grudges is such a waste of time and energy that can be use doing something enjoyable.
Indeed, when one bear grudges, he or she won’t be a happy person. So it’s best to be forgiving, smile and not waste time bearing grudges. Thank you for your kind comments.
