Smile

How welcoming
how comforting
how precious
a smile can do to another.

A smile is a kindness
flowing out from one person to another
it cost nothing to give
but it is priceless to those who receive.

To a stranger
with no friends or family
who walks alone on the street
a smile is a welcoming sign putting him at ease.

To someone who felt the world has crumpled
when he felt so down, sad, hurt or depressed
a comforting smile and a gentle hug
is something appreciated beyond words.

How precious is a smile
it brightens up someone’s day
a smile is like a promise
that things will be all right.

A smile brings rest to the weary
cheer to the discouraged
sunshine to the sad
it makes the world a better place.

Remember when you wake up each morning
loosen your muscle, relax and wear your smile
start the day with a smile
and the world will smile with you.

  1. Did you know it takes more facial muscles to frown than to smile? Be healthy – and happy – smile. Like scottishmomus says, it could be catching – and what a wonderful condition to be in!

    • Yes I read that about the facial muscles thing so I am smiling most of the time even when I was often alone and smiling to myself while driving… ha.a.a. it’s true but I was joking and not for that reason. 🙂
