Daily Prompt: The Clothes (May) Make the (Wo)man

How important are clothes to you? Describe your style, if you have one, and tell us how appearance impacts how you feel about yourself.  Photographers, artists, poets: show us STYLE.

I am a woman but I have stopped wearing dresses but it does not mean I have stopped dressing up.  I may have dressed down a little being more casual and going more for comfort than style.

I dressed according to my mood most of the time.  One can dress casually in pants and blouse and still look smart and professional as long as there is color coordination and the way you hold yourself makes a world of difference.  It’s all about self confidence that give a person the ‘class and the style’.

Dressing casually does not necessarily make a woman less feminine.  I can well and truly say, I am very confident now but not when I was younger. Having seen and been through so much in life and by situation and circumstances I have become stronger and tougher and I would still like to think I am tough outside but soft inside.  To me (one person’s viewpoint) by nature a soft person is often lovable and warm and a cold person is reflected by someone who has a screwed up face, no smile and appears hard inside out.

Side tracked from the topic a little although in a nutshell, I tend to believe a person’s sense of dressing reflect somewhat that person’s character.  A warm person dresses in warm colors while a cold or hard person often dresses in plain dull colors.  Again, this is just one person’s viewpoint.

Here are my dress sense through the decades.

Is my character or personality reflected in my dress sense?
