Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside a tunnel

This week, share what you see on the inside. It could be something literally inside, like these birds in the rebar or the inside of your home or favorite hideaway. If you’d like, go in a personal direction — share a photo of your best friend laughing, showing how she feels on the inside, or an arresting shot of your son’s blue eyes (windows to the soul, dontcha know). This is also a great opportunity to put what you learned in Jeff Sinon’s guest post on composition into practice.IN A NEW POST CREATED FOR THIS CHALLENGE, SHARE A PHOTO THAT SAYS INSIDE.

tobytunnel A round concrete opening

lures this four legged friend.

He walks head down

sniffing all the way.

Inside this dirty damp tunnel

chilly, misty air surrounds.

This walkway crossing underground

with the sound of cars moving above.

Water drips like sweat on the side drains.

Dim light fills the spooky tunnel,

getting brighter as he walks further.

A smell of fresh air and greens.

Still sniffing as he exits into

another round concrete opening.

    • Thank you sweetie. I am not really into poem writing and most times the words just came randomly. You may not have noticed but most times I do my posts late at night and wrote half asleep! Thank you for reading. 🙂
